Taylor Swift may be collaborating with a renowned rapper.
It has been reported that the Grammy-winning artist will team up with Kendrick Lamar for a new track.
Following Drake’s diss song, “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which mocked Kendrick for appearing on the 2015 remix of Taylor’s hit “Bad Blоod” with the line “Make another one for the Swifties,” DJ Snake has revealed that the two have reunited in the studio for a new song.
It is likely to appear on his upcoming album.
The French-Algerian DJ and producer, whose full name is William Sami Étienne Grigahcine, made the announcement in a viral French-language interview, stating in English: “World premiere.”
Kendrick had to re-record his verse for the new version of “Bad Bloоd” on last year’s 1989 (Taylor’s Version).
Both Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar have released new music this year produced by Jack Antonoff.
The hip-hop artist collaborated with Antonoff, who frequently works with Taylor, as well as producer Sounwave, on his Drake diss track “6:16 in LA.”
The track sampled Al Green’s 1972 hit “What a Wonderful Thing Love Is,” which featured Drake’s uncle, Mabon ‘Teenie’ Hodges, playing guitar.
Last year, Kendrick Lamar won his third Best Rap Album Grammy for his 2022 album Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers.
As of now, there is no confirmed release date for his sixth studio album.
This upcoming project will be his first since leaving Top Dawg Entertainment.
