The back-and-forth began when Emma uploaded an Instagram post commemorating National Grief Awareness Day and discussed her personal experiences.

‘This was the summer of self-discovery – finding new activities, venturing outside of my comfort zone, and staying active,’ she wrote in the post. ‘My sadness can be debilitating, but I am learning to live with it.’

Trolls in her comments accused her of being theatrical, with one snidely remarking that she would cope just well with his money.

The statement stated that he ‘has been suffering some health concerns and has lately been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impairing his cognitive ability.’

Demi Moore and the three daughters she has with Bruce – Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 28 – signed the declaration, as did Emma, Mabel, and Evelyn.

After the family announced Bruce’s retirement, admirers took to social media to express their admiration for the Die Hard legend.
