Fans flooded Emma Heming, wife of Bruce Willis, with support after she uploaded a ‘heartbreaking’ throwback video of the celebrity with their daughter Evelyn.
In the video, Willis, 69, who is suffering frontotemporal dementia (FTD), is carrying Evelyn Penn Willis on his shoulders while strolling in Manhattan.
The retired actor was heard calmly speaking to his now 10-year-old child before utilizing his acting abilities to warn her, ‘I don’t have to nibble on your leg!’
Evelyn giggled and pressed her tiny palms across Bruce’s face.
The old tape was filmed in 2019, three years before Willis was diagnosed with aphasia, which subsequently developed into FTD.
The two-time Emmy winner’s 46-year-old care partner, who has 1 million social media followers, described the endearing daddy-daughter clip as ‘The finest seat in the house.’.

Another wrote, ‘Aren’t those vids the best?!? My husband died from Lewy Body in March. When I want to sense his presence, I watch videos or listen to his music.
Others typed: ‘Memories may be both soothing and painful. This is extremely difficult to navigate.
‘For those of us out here who don’t know you at all, the way you express your love. How you advocate. How damn human everything is. What strength and vulnerability actually look like. Thank you for that.
‘Mrs. Willis I am heartbroken to hear of Bruce’s current predicament. I’ve known him pretty much my entire life, and I’ve never heard anything negative about him; it’s like, why do the good always have to suffer? He appears to have a strong support system and a loving family; I adore this post.
Bruce’s 33-year-old daughter Scout LaRue Willis responded to Emma’s post with two happy weeping emojis.
Willis’ 30-year-old daughter Tallulah Belle Willis added, ‘Love.’
The Die Hard alum and Heming, who married in 2009, have a 12-year-old daughter, Mabel Ray Willis.
‘I’ve never attempted to sugarcoat anything for them. They’ve grown up with Bruce’s decline throughout the years. In a recent cover article for Town & Country, the FTD champion stated, “I’m not trying to shield them from it.”

‘What I learnt from our therapist was that when children ask questions, they expect to know the answer. If we could see Bruce was struggling, I would discuss it with the kids to help them understand, but this condition is chronic, progressive, and deadly. There is no cure. Obviously, I don’t like discussing the terminal aspect of this with kids, and they haven’t asked. They realize Daddy isn’t going to get better.
On November 1, Emma and ghost author Michele Levy Bender submitted the first manuscript of their untitled 2025 book, which is devoted to fearful FTD caregivers like herself.
‘I wish I had been given this book when we received the FTD diagnosis. I wish I had heard someone say, “I know this feels horrible and very traumatic, but you’re going to be okay,” Heming said.
‘We had so many plans for our daughters, so many beautiful things we wanted to accomplish and experience together. You simply pull that page out totally, and how do you reconstruct the story? I’m learning how to regain some control.
