Sydney Sweeney embraced classic Hollywood glamour at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars Party, paying tribute to a legendary actress in the process.
The actress donned a cream-colored Marc Bouwer gown from the archives, which she wore while posing on the red carpet after the Academy Awards. The dress was originally worn by Angelina Jolie at the 2004 Oscars, as pointed out by Jolie’s stylist, on Instagram.
Sweeney was granted access to the designer’s archives in New York City, and her stylist expressed gratitude to Marc Bouwer’s president, Paul Margolin, for making this “special moment” possible.
The satin gown, featuring a plunging neckline, a low back, and a dramatic train, was paired with a matching shawl. Sweeney complemented the look with Messika jewelry, including a statement layered pendant necklace and simple stud earrings.
To complete her timeless ensemble, Sweeney debuted a new bob styled in loose waves, adding an extra layer of sophistication to her Vanity Fair afterparty look.
