Fans who miss Bruce Willis’s public persona have taken to social media in droves after his wife, Emma Heming Willis, posted a charming old video of him playing with their daughter.
Since his family revealed in 2023 that he had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), the Die Hard actor has mainly disappeared from the public eye. However, Heming Willis, the star’s mother of daughters Evelyn, 10, and Mabel, 12, occasionally posts old photos on social media and offers brief glimpses into their family life.
The actor, 69, is seen crossing a street with Evelyn on his shoulders in the most recent Instagram video. Evelyn laughs when her father pretends to eat her leg in a video taken when she was younger. Just 22 hours after it was posted, it had 49,499 likes, demonstrating how rapidly it became viral.
“Beautiful” but also “heartbreaking” were the words used by fans to describe the vintage film of the Hollywood star.
Heming Willis’s reps have been contacted by Newsweek via email for comment.

Lovely recollections … “I think we all miss that too, to hear his voice,” an admirer wrote in the comments area. Another person remarked, “This is heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.”
“Memories can be both painful and consoling,” another fan said. Navigating this is really challenging. Another person said, “This is so beautiful!!”
“Brought a flood of emotions to see him full of life and energy,” remarked another admirer. It served as a reminder of his strength and excitement to everyone in his vicinity. Somebody else said, “So great, breaks my heart too,”
As one admirer put it, “This is absolutely adorable.” Another commented: “I appreciate you sharing this. I miss seeing him. Be careful.
Heming Willis, the celebrity’s ex-wife Demi Moore, and his daughters later released a joint statement stating that Willis had been diagnosed with FTD after he was initially diagnosed with language disorder aphasia.
On Instagram, they posted: “Burn’s condition has gotten worse since we revealed his aphasia diagnosis in the spring of 2022, and we now have a more precise diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (FTD).” Sadly, communication difficulties are only one sign of the illness Bruce has. Even while this hurts, having a definitive diagnosis at last is a comfort.
With his ex-wife Moore, Willis has three daughters: Tallulah, 30, Scout, 33, and Rumer, 36.
