Taylor Swift has set a new record with her latest Grammy nomination, announced Friday morning.
The Eras Tour icon is now the first woman ever to receive seven Album of the Year nominations.
This year, she earned the nod for her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, officially surpassing the previous six-time record held by Barbra Streisand.
The 67th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on February 2, 2025, at Los Angeles’s Crypto.com Arena.
This event will honor top recordings, compositions, and artists from September 16, 2023, to August 30, 2024, selected by Recording Academy members.
Taylor’s Grammy journey has been remarkable.
She has previously taken home Album of the Year four times: Fearless in 2010, 1989 in 2016, Folklore in 2021, and Midnights in 2024.
Streisand, now 82, was nominated for Album of the Year for The Barbra Streisand Album (1964), People (1965), My Name Is Barbra (1966), Color Me Barbra (1967), Guilty (1981), and The Broadway Album (1987).
Swift faces tough competition this year.
She’s up against high-profile artists like André 3000, Beyoncé, Sabrina Carpenter, Charli XCX, Jacob Collier, Billie Eilish, and Chappell Roan.
Swift also scored nominations for Song of the Year (“Fortnight” featuring Post Malone), Record of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and more.
Meanwhile, Beyoncé topped the Grammy nominations with 11 nods, including Album of the Year for her country-inspired album, Cowboy Carter.
