Before heading out to the red carpet, she appeared in a slow-motion video, striking a sedᴜctive pose.

During the ceremony, Sydney reunited with Glen Powell, her co-star from Anyone But You, and the pair sang Natasha Bedingfield’s 2004 hit song “Unwritten,” which features prominently in the film.

They also attended the presentation, where fans voted for the comedy movie star of the year award, which ultimately went to Jennifer Lawrence.

Barbie won the comedy movie of the year trophy, defeating the duo’s less well-received film set in Australia during the NBC broadcast.

For Sweeney and Powell, it was a heartfelt reconnection, as they had previously shared a stage at the Barker Hangar two years ago when he and his Top Gᴜn: Maverick co-star Jay Ellis presented her with the best fight award at the MTV Movie & TV Awards.

Anyone But You loosely draws inspiration from William Shakespeare’s 1600 comedy Much Ado About Nothing, where the show’s feuding main characters, Benedicк and Beatrice, ultimately end up together.

Despite much speculation about their on-screen chemistry, both actors have firmly denied any rumors of an on-set affair.

Sweeney was instrumental in bringing Glen on board as her leading man, and she also chose Will Gluck as the director after spending a year developing the spec script.

In a rare interview last December, Sweeney mentioned that planning her wedding hasn’t been her top priority.

“I’m working so much!” she exclaimed when asked about her wedding preparations. “I love being a workaholic.”

While she may not be scouting wedding venues or setting a date, she and her fiancé, Jonathan Davino, have been working closely together over the past year.
