Taylor Swift expertly managed a stage malfunction during her third and final Eras Tour performance in New Orleans on Sunday night.
Videos circulating online show that while the Grammy-winning artist was singing the first verse of her 2024 hit “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?”, the reflective silver platform known as the “Tayoomba” unexpectedly malfunctioned in the Caesars Superdome.
As she sang, “So tell me everything is not about me,” the platform failed to move in sync with the music.
Swift, 34, maintained her composure, dancing and singing as her backup dancers moved around her.
She then leaped off the “Tayoomba” and danced down the catwalk while her dancers wheeled the platform off the stage.
For the first time ever, Swift had to perform her hit “Down Bad” without the platform.
The pop star held three shows in New Orleans on October 25, 26, and 27.
While her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, was absent due to his ongoing NFL commitments, friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds attended two of the three concerts.
During her show on Friday night, the billionaire singer appeared to have Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, 35, on her mind as she gave a charming shout-out to him while performing the outro to “Midnight Rain.”
Swift mimicked throwing a football, igniting excitement among her fans who interpreted the gesture as a nod to Kelce.
The “Cruel Summer” singer’s Eras Tour is set to continue on Friday with three back-to-back performances in Indianapolis.
