Kim Kardashian shared that she owns a collection of minimalist luxury cars designed to match the austere, neutral tones of her home.
In a new video for Vogue, the reality star provided a tour of her monastic mansion and showcased her three coordinated vehicles—a Lamborghini, a Rolls Royce, and a Maybach—all painted in the exact shade of “ghost gray” that reflects the color of her house. She expressed, “I’ve always been a car girl; I love cars, and I really wanted something different. I wanted my cars to blend in with my house, which is gray.
So, I opted for all gray cars instead of my usual matte silver. I chose my Lamborghini Urus with a front kit, a Rolls Royce Ghost with a crystal lady, and my Maybach Sedan. I love everything about it, including the gray emblem. If I had to choose one, the Maybach would be my favorite!” According to TMZ, Kim’s custom paint job, ensuring her vehicles share the same color palette, cost her over $100,000. Sources reveal that the work was completed by Platinum Motorsports in LA, using a “very specific Rolls-Royce gray” that is not commonly available.
Each car took about a month to complete due to the complexity of the job, requiring them to be disassembled piece by piece before the new color could be applied. Kim’s Lamborghini Urus, which has a starting retail price of $218,009, was reportedly the most challenging and took the longest to finish because of its intricate body kit.
A Rolls Royce Ghost typically retails for around $311,900, while a Maybach Sedan starts at about $185,950. The source also mentioned that the Skims founder was “very involved” in every stage of the painting process, having a clear vision of what she wanted. She has been a loyal customer of Platinum Motorsports for “a while now,” and the business has even received calls from people requesting the “Kim K” treatment after seeing her custom cars around town.
