The pop icon rocked the stage in the rain during her first show in the German city, with a second night to come before her final stop in the country in Munich
Taylor Swift dropped everything to play in the pouring rain.
At her first Eras Tour show in Hamburg, Germany, on Tuesday, July 23, the “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” singer, 34, proved once again a little rain won’t stop her from putting on a showstopping concert.
“I’m surrounded by an entire sold-out crowd of people who would dance with me in the rain,” Swift told the crowd during her Lover set, per USA Today.
According to the outlet, she added: “I don’t know if you’ve heard this about us, but here on the Eras Tour we absolutely adore a rain show. I think a rain show only chooses a crowd that is completely worthy and ready to party with us all night in the rain.”
While Swift was drenched by the Fearless part of the show, the rain stopped pouring down by the Red portion of the night, per the publication.
The “Lavender Haze” artist also opted for another set of double mashups.
On guitar, Swift performed “Teardrops on My Guitar” from Taylor Swift mixed with “The Last Time” from Red. She then traded her guitar for the piano as she played a rendition of “We Were Happy” from Fearless and “Happiness” from Evermore.
Ahead of her shows in Hamburg, Swift took on a three-night run in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The singer was given a warm welcome from the city, which was renamed to “Swiftkirchen” after a local fan petitioned the mayor earlier this month. Swift even received a temporary tile on the Gelsenkirchen Walk of Fame, an honor typically only reserved for local personalities.
Following her shows in Hamburg, the star will bring her act to one more German city: Munich, on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28, before heading to Austria and Poland in early August. She’ll close out the European leg of her global smash tour with five nights in London after three buzzy nights in the English capital earlier this summer.
