As the world’s biggest pop star, Taylor Swift is not used to waiting around. However, she found herself waiting by the runway for almost an hour on Tuesday night after a delayed Travis Kelce arrived late for their private flight.
DailyMail.com spotted the high-profile couple boarding a sleek Gulfstream jet headed for the East Coast. Unfortunately, their departure didn’t go as scheduled, as Taylor and her father, Scott, boarded at 6:05 p.m., while the Chiefs tight end finally arrived in his Hummer at 7 p.m.
The NFL player attempted to drive his large electric vehicle onto the apron, only to discover that the gate was locked. Fortunately, a member of Swift’s security team was able to transport him to the $61 million plane, and a red-faced Kelce hurried up the stairs.
They took off just as his brother Jason arrived at the same Kansas City-area airport to fly back to Philadelphia.
The Chiefs have a bye week, so Kelce isn’t expected to return to training until the team begins preparing for their October 20 matchup against the 49ers. He had spent the day entertaining Swift at his luxurious Kansas City mansion after she and her father flew in 24 hours earlier to watch the Saints game.
They celebrated the Week 5 victory with a typical display of public affection, and footage shared on X showed the couple sharing a kiss and cuddling in Swift’s VIP box after the game.
The Bad Bloоd singer sparked curiosity when she didn’t attend Travis’s 35th birthday celebration on Saturday, which included a car festival followed by an intimate dinner party.
However, her presence at the game was highly anticipated after Travis mentioned her upcoming visit while speaking to VIP guests at his Kelce Car Jam event.
At least Travis was able to celebrate with his loved ones, as the entire Kelce family was there, including his mother Donna, father Ed, brother Jason, and sister-in-law Kylie. Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany also arrived in a $500,000 Ferrari 812 supercar—one of several expensive vehicles showcased at Saturday night’s block party.
Proceeds from the event benefited Kelce’s 87 & Running Foundation, which supports underprivileged children in Kansas City and Cleveland. Following the festivities, the entire family went to downtown Kansas City for an exclusive afterparty at the upscale Aristocrat Lounge located above the Midland Theatre.
Donna had a playful interaction with DailyMail.com when asked about Travis’s birthday gift. “I can’t reveal it because I’m giving it to him after Monday’s game,” she laughed before getting into a limo to return to her hotel.
