This family trip follows Alicia Keys’ recent defense of her performance of “Empire State of Mind” at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the UK last month, where she faced some criticism but stood by her artistic choice.

Having her say: It comes after Alicia recently defended her decision to perform Empire State Of Mind at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations in the UK last month

Awkward: The song choice was met with backlash because the song is about New York City and she was performing it in England - at the Jubilee which marked the 70th anniversary of the accession of Queen Elizabeth II

Fancy! However, 15-time Grammy winner claimed 'every song was requested personally by the Queen'

Favorite: The No One hitmaker even revealed The Queen requested she play her 2009 track Empire State of Mind

Adapting: Alicia did change the lyrics ¿ as she sang 'Now you're in London' rather than 'Now you're in New York' at one point

Reaction: The decision to perform the song was met with a mixed response from fans who tweeted: 'Alicia Keys singing ¿Empire State of Mind¿ at the jubilee concert. Why?'

Not happy: 'Alicia keys did not just go "i love you london... when i'm in london... i feel like i'm in new york?" and then proceed to sing empire state of mind? queen of subtle transitions!'

Making it work: Alicia, her husband, and her husband's ex-wife opened up during a joint interview about their 'blended' family in the past

Looking cool: Prince cut a suave figure in a cream hoodie and bright orange trousers as he got onto the water taxi

Moving on: Alicia explained how setting 'ground rules' enabled the family to start building a better relationship

Friendly wave: She was in a very happy mood as she climbed onto the water taxi and took in the sights with her family
