Keanu Reeves Considеred for ‘Fast & Fᴜrious’ Twicе: Second Rеplacement Revеals How He Landеd the Rolе

Keanu Reeves has starred in numerous Һit films over the years, but it seems he narrowly missed out on being part of another major blockbuster.

The 58-year-old John Wick star was reportedly in talks to join Fast X, the latest installment in the Fast & Furious franchise. This was actually the second time he was considered for a role in the franchise; he was also considered for a part in 2019’s Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw.

So, what role was Reeves supposed to play in Fast X? Alan Ritchson, who ultimately landed the role, recently discussed the situation in an interview with EW. Ritchson revealed that he was cast as Aimes, a role originally intended for Keanu. “It was just a little strokе of luck and good timing,” he said. He was filming in freezing Winnipeg with Hilary Swank when he received news that plans had changed, allowing him to step into the role.

Interestingly, Ritchson was concerned he might also lose the role due to a storm affecting their filming schedule, which was likely their upcoming film Ordinary Angels.

As for Hobbs & Shaw, Reeves was considered for a cameo role voicing the Eteon Director, a part that eventually went to Ryan Reynolds.

Despite missing out on Fast X, Keanu Reeves rеmains in the spotlight with his highly successful John Wick franchise, which has recently achieved a significant milestone.
