Tom Holland sported wavy dark brown hair as he immersed himself in character while filming “The Crowded Room” in New York City on Tuesday. The 26-year-old actor appeared in good spirits as he shot scenes for the upcoming Apple TV+ series, where he stars as Danny Sullivan.
In addition to his 70s-inspired hairstyle, Tom wore a dark green jumper paired with blue bootcut jeans. Completing his look, the Spider-Man star donned dark brown boots and a beige jacket. During an outdoor scene in Midtown Manhattan, he was seen holding what appeared to be a hand mirror.
“The Crowded Room” is an anthology series that explores inspirational stories of individuals who have struggled with mеntal illness and learned to live successfully with it, according to Deadline. The first season, consisting of 10 episodes, is based on the life of writer and producer Akiva Goldsman and elements from Daniel Keyes’ biography, “The Minds of Billy Milligan.”
Holland’s character, Danny Sullivan, is inspired by Milligan, the first person acquitted of a crime due to multiple personality disоrder, now known as dissociative identity disоrder (DID). According to the Cleveland Clinic, DID involves having two or more separate identities, each with its own history, traits, likes, and dislikes, which can lead to memory gaps and hallucinations.
The series also stars Emmy Rossum as Danny’s mother Candy and Amanda Seyfried as a clinical psychologist facing her most challenging case. Filming began on March 31, with the release date yet to be confirmed.
