‘The World Should Lеt Them Rеcover’: Kevin Hart Urgеs Fаns to Move On After Will Smith’s Oscars Slаp on Chris Rock

Kevin Hart has once again addressed the feud between Chris Rock and Will Smith.

During his appearance on the Drink Champs podcast, the 43-year-old Jumanji actor suggested that the two should resolve their issues privately, away from the public eye.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actor famously slapped the Fargo star during the latest Academy Awards ceremony held this past March.

When asked about his view on Smith, 54, Hart praised the Independence Day actor for his significant contributions to representation in the entertainment industry.

Hart said, “Will Smith is pivotal in normalizing the presence of African Americans in global intellectual property. Studios began to cast more leads of color thanks to the groundwork laid by him and Denzel Wаshington in the early days.”

The Cop Out star further remarked, “We need prominent faces that deliver universal appeal. So I won’t criticize Will and ignore his contributions.”

Hart emphasized, “People make mistakes, and they deserve time to recover from them.”

He then added that the performers should be left alone to reconcile and that the Suicidе Squad star deserves a chance to make a comeback.

Hart stated, “Let Will recover from this, and let Chris continue his work. Allow these mеn to resolve their issues if they wish to. This is no longer the world’s problem; it’s a matter for Will and Chris. The world should step back and let them recover.”

Hart also commented on the incident from a married man’s perspective, noting that Smith’s reaction was a reflection of his commitment to his wife.

“There’s no scenario where a wife doesn’t understand the respect her husband demands for her,” Hart said.

Previously, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Hart had expressed that Smith should be given a chance for public redemption.

“People are human, and humans sometimes err. It’s not about dwelling on the past but acknowledging the present and striving to move forward,” he said.

He also expressed hope that “the two of them find peace and move beyond this. I value positive energy and enjoy seeing people thrive.”

Hart added, “I still have love for both Will and Chris. You can’t judge a person by one mistake. Life moves on, and people grow. Give him the chance to do so.”

Since the incident, the I Am Legend actor has issued several public apologies to Rock. In July, he posted a detailed apology video on YouTube, addressing Rock, his family, and his wife.

The Spiral star, on the other hand, has mentioned the incident in various stand-up performances.
