Keanu Reeves recently had an incredibly heartwarming interaction with a young fan.

The famously kind-hearted actor took a break from his hectic schedule to toss a ball with a nine-year-old boy who had been eagerly waiting to meet the star.

Waiting patiently outside the House of Blues in Houston were Annette Cruz and her grandsons, Elijah and Caleb, who are avid autograph seekers.

Despite having met numerous celebrities, Annette was particularly eager to see the 58-year-old actor, and to their delight, Reeves did not disappoint.

Interestingly, the family almost missed their dream encounter because they initially failed to recognize the star.

The trio soon recognized the Speed actor, prompting Elijah to make a bold request.

“I asked him once, but I didn’t catch his response,” Elijah told reporters. “So I asked again, and he said, ‘Yeah, come on, let’s go’.”

Despite being a bit nervous to face the action star, the nine-year-old quickly relaxed.

Reeves took the time to play catch with the young fan, even praising the boy’s throwing skills.

“I was surprised he agreed,” Cruz told KHOU 11. “And then he said, ‘Hey, he’s got a great spiral.’ It’s a memory that will stick with him forever.”

Eventually, the actor had to head back inside to prepare for his performance, but not before taking a few selfies with his young admirers.

The John Wick star demonstrated his kind nature with this touching gesture. Currently on tour with his bandmates Bret Domrose and Robert Mailhouse, Reeves and Dogstar are promoting their third album after a 20-year hiatus.

With his iconic status in Hollywood, it will be interesting to see if he makes a similar impact on the music charts!
