This girl is on fire!
Alicia Keys knows how to turn up the heat at an event, and she did just that at The Albies on Thursday night.
The 15-time Grammy winner wore a custom Versace floor-length gown, featuring a structured bustier top attached to a light-reflective bejeweled chainmail skirt with a thigh-high slit. She rounded out the look with equally high pointed-toe boots.
Meanwhile Keys’ eye-catching jewelry — including an impressive ring complementing her red-tip French manicure — and multi-braid ponytail exuded modern-day elegance.
Keys — who performed her mega-hit “If I Ain’t Got You” at the ceremony — shared snippets of her glamorous night out to her Instagram Story, including a selfie taken with Andra Day, who closed out the night with a performance of “Rise Up.”
The Keys Soulcare founder, 42, is also, as always, embracing her natural beauty at the event — even when she amplifies it with statement glam. After taking a stance against societal standards on beauty and going completely makeup-free in 2016, she started a conversation about beauty that she’s continued through her own brand.
“I feel like a lot of times we feel the pressure to be perfect, or the pressure to look a certain way,” she told PEOPLE in 2022. “I definitely have felt that pressure, and I definitely have experienced that. So, along the way, I realized that the only beauty standard I should follow is the one that I create.”
She added, “I allowed other people’s opinions or thoughts or even my own assumption somehow control me or make me subscribe to someone else’s beauty standards… Some days you want to be completely free from anything on your face, other days you want to turn it up because that’s how you’re feeling and that’s okay.”
