She excels in sports.
New mother Serena Williams showcased her impressive strength and endurance by participating in a challenging Spartan race over the weekend alongside her husband, Alexis Ohanian, 34, co-founder of Reddit.
“Competed in a Spartan race this weekend with SOME of my @kryptonian teammates,” the 36-year-old wrote in her caption. “This first video was a 5 and a half foot jump half way through I knew there was no chance to get my legs over so I remembered my gymnastics classes from my youth!”
The tennis superstar shared a video of herself flipping over a bar suspended five feet in the air, landing gracefully and jogging away with a laugh.
She then tackled the gymnastics rings, opting to walk on her tiptoes through the obstacle course, maintaining a lighthearted attitude throughout. Serena humorously acknowledged her attempt in the caption, telling fans, “The rings lol look I tried!”
During the race, Serena and her husband navigated a mud pool together, side by side. At the race’s conclusion, Serena and her teammates proudly posed with their hard-earned medals.
Apart from her tennis achievements, Serena and her husband are also navigating parenthood. They welcomed their first child, daughter Alexis Olympia, in September 2017. Just two months after Alexis Olympia’s birth, Serena and Alexis exchanged vows in a star-studded ceremony in New Orleans.
