When Serena Williams isn’t on the tennis court, she enjoys indulging her passion for fashion. Recently, the world’s No.1 was seen striking poses in a high-waisted, monochrome bikini during a photo shoot on Miami Beach, Florida, on Monday. Sporting checkered and striped high-waisted bottoms paired with a black top, the 31-year-old appeared to have a great time posing by the beach.

Her natural hair cascaded around her shoulders, accessorized only with a ring and chunky gold earrings. Directed by the photographer to strike sultry poses, some of her facial expressions prompted laughter. In many shots, she showcased her impressive muscular legs by lifting her left leg.

Later, she changed into a form-fitting yellow mini-dress, transitioning from the beach to the sandy greens. She was also seen in a stunning black mаxi dress that accentuated her curves.

Despite seeming to enjoy the shoot, Serena mentioned losing her voice, tweeting: “Lost my voice. #williamsinvitational2013 I literally cannot speak. Maybe I will be tweeting more…”

Her photo shoot came a week after winning the Family Circle Cup in Charleston, South Carolina, defeating Serbia’s Jelena Jankovic. However, the victory was not without controversy, as Serena and Jelena exchanged words during the match.

Following her win, Serena clarified, “I wasn’t ready. I am the most respectful player, other than Venus. I am so respectful to my colleagues.”

On March 30, Serena also triumphed at the Sony Open in Miami, bouncing back after withdrawing from the Dubai Championships a month earlier due to a back injᴜry.

Serena Williams now holds the distinction of being the oldest wоmen’s No.1 since records began in 1975.
