This news will please the young womеn who gather at the stage door every night after Tom Holland performs in “Romeo & Juliet.”
For the Spider-Man star, walking down the aisle won’t be happening anytime soon, according to his father.
Recent reports suggested that Tom, who turns 28 next week, and Hollywood superstar Zendaya, 27, had discussed marriage.
But comedian Dominic Holland says: “They are a happy couple, so who knows? But there are no weddings in the Holland household yet.”
Fаme hasn’t gone to Tom’s head, insists Holland, who lives in Kingston upon Thames.
“Tom has three brothers and a mum and dad who don’t treat him any differently. We all want our kids to do well. But I always try to keep him grounded.”
Tom Holland and Zendaya may be envisioning a future together as husband and wife.
“There has been talk of marriage, and that is a reality,” a source tells PEOPLE.
The British actor and the Emmy-winning Euphoria star, both 27, met while filming their trilogy of Spider-Man movies together. Since then, they’ve kept their off-camera romance mostly private.
“They are not the kind of stars who put their lives together out there on social media for the most part,” explains the source.
“Both are private,” says the source, who adds that attention on them while in the public eye “has never been easy or comfortable for either of them.”
For Zendaya, whose film “Challengers” hits theaters this weekend, and Holland, who stars in “Romeo and Juliet” on London’s West End in May, “work is important to both and keeps them busy now,” adds the source.
Reps for both actors did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s requests for comment.
In her recent Vogue cover story, Zendaya offered a glimpse of their relationship, sharing what it has been like seeing Holland deal with fаme since 2017’s “Spider-Man: Homecoming.”
“We were both very, very young, but my career was already going, and his changed overnight,” the Disney Channel alum said. “One day you’re a kid and you’re at the pub with your friends, and the next day you’re Spider-Man.”
“I definitely watched his life kind of change in front of him,” she added. “But he handled it really beautifully.”
