It appears that Chris Hemsworth and Tom Holland forged a friendship even before their Marvel days began.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Chris Hemsworth unexpectedly disclosed that he played a role in helping Tom Holland audition for the part of Spider-Man.

“We first worked together on the film ‘In the Heart of the Sea’ and became friends from then on. When I heard that the producers were searching for an actor to portray Spider-Man, I did what I had to do — I immediately called Tom Holland,” the actor revealed.

In the same interview, the Avengers star lauded his colleague: “He is truly one of the most talented individuals I’ve ever had the privilege of working with.
