Keanu Reeves is currently experiencing a significant career resurgence, and now nearly 70,000 individuals are advocating for him to be recognized by Time Magazine.
A recent petition on Change.org calls for Time Magazine to namе the 54-year-old actor their Person of the Year for 2019. Started by Jackson Beem two weeks ago, the petition has garnered the support of 68,587 people and continues to grow.
The petition highlights Reeves’ reputation as “the most wholesome person alive,” citing his generous donations to children’s hospitals and other charities, as well as his numerous acts of kindness without seeking recognition.
It rеmains unclear whether Time Magazine is aware of the petition, as they traditionally announce their Person (or persons) of the year in December.
While Reeves has enjoyed a celebrated acting career spanning over three decades, this year has been particularly notable for him both professionally and personally. He starred in the highly successful action sequel John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, which ranks as the sixth highest-grossing movie of the year with $156 million domestically. Additionally, his cameo in the Netflix film Always Be My Maybe and his voice role as Duke Kaboom in Pixar’s Toy Story 4 have further solidified his popular appeal and versatility.
