Serena Williams suffered a significant defeat in the US Open final against 19-year-old Bianca Andreescu on Saturday. However, instead of withdrawing to recover, Serena Williams made a striking appearance at the New York premiere of the documentary The Game Changers on Monday.
The 37-year-old tennis star attended the event with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, 36, and looked stunning in a white slip dress. The dress, which had a plunging neckline, highlighted her cleavage, and its ankle-length silhouette accentuated her curves.
Her hair was styled in voluminous corkscrew curls, complemented by a pendant necklace, and she wore pointed yellow heels.
Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian got married in November 2017, just a few weeks after their daughter Olympia was born, who recently turned two on September 1.
Alexis Ohanian opted for a casually stylish look, pairing a dark suit with an unbuttoned white shirt at the collar and black trainers.
Ohanian is among several executive producers of The Game Changers, a documentary advocating for the benefits of transitioning to a vegan, plant-based diet, claiming it enhances athletic performance. Other notable executive producers include James Cameron, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jackie Chan, Lewis Hamilton, and Pamela Anderson.
Supporting the premiere were former Daily Show host Jon Stewart and his vegan wife Tracey, along with vegan bodybuilder Nimai Delgado, actor Adrian Grenier, Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart (founder of vegan fashion brand Vaute Couture), and British singer Kate Nash.
Directed by Louie Psihoyos, The Game Changers is set to release in theaters on September 16.
