Serena Williams traveled to France to participate in the French Open tennis tournament but faced dеfeat in the fourth round.

While staying at a luxurious hotel in the South of France on Saturday, the 39-year-old athlete ensured to make the most of her European trip by enjoying some leisure time with her family.

Serena looked stunning in a colorful swimsuit featuring vibrant panels of yellow and pink. She was spotted cuddling up to her husband Alexis Ohanian, 38, and was seen laughing and smiling as they soaked up the sunshine. The couple took turns jumping into the cool water from both the stone side and diving board, clearly having a fantastic time playing around. Serena also used a small metal ladder to ease into the water.

For her outing, Serena opted for a striking one-piece swimsuit with a small strap around her neck and accessorized with a delicate gold necklace. Alexis sported eye-catching swimming trunks with bright patterns and left his long brunette hair loose for their water activities.

Serena and Alexis, who have a three-year-old daughter named Olympia, traveled to France for the tennis tournament. Unfortunately, Serena’s aspirations for victory were dashed last week when she was defeated 6-3, 7-5 in the fourth round by Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina, who is 18 years younger than her. Despite the loss, Serena expressed a positive оutloоk, mentioning she was in a better place mentally compared to when she arrived at the tournament.

While Serena played down speculation that this might have been her last match at Roland Garros, she acknowledged her excitement for the upcoming transition to grass courts, where historically she has performed well. Serena also shared her joy about Olympia’s budding interest in tennis, revealing that her daughter had started taking lessons, although not from Serena or her aunt Venus, who is also a tennis star.
