Tom Holland acknowledged his enthusiastic fans as he exited the theater following a performance of Romeo & Juliet in London on Monday.
The 28-year-old Spider-Man: No Way Home actor is currently portraying Romeo Montague in a new rendition of the Shakespearean tragedy at the Duke of York Theatre in the West End.
Sporting a black tracksuit, Tom greeted the awaiting crowd at the start of the week. With a raised right arm and seemingly shouting something, he walked out of the building in white plimsolls.
Behind him, fervent fans pressed against a barrier, eager to snap a photo of the Hollywood star. However, due to the overwhelming number of fans seeking glimpses of him after each show, officials have intervened with new regulations.
Reportedly, Tom has been fully cooperative with the implementation of the new rules, designed primarily for public safety.
A source stated, ‘Tom is a pro and was more than happy to oblige.’ Officials emphasize that their aim is to ensure public safety and offer additional support whenever necessary.
According to a Westminster Council spokesperson, managing crowds and access remai𝚗s the responsibility of each theater, but they are ready to collaborate with venues and law enforcement to address any issues.
Understandably, Tom won’t be engaging in conversations or signing autographs, as is customary in theater traditions. However, he is willing to pose for photos while leaving.
Since joining the production, Tom has adopted a more casual wardrobe, opting for T-shirts and sneakers. He even debuted a new hairstyle.
Tom, who is romantically involved with Zendaya, initially launched his career in the West End with Billy Elliot the Musical. However, his role as the titular character concluded in May 2010, and he has not returned to the stage until now.
Last month, fans were informed that there would be ‘no autographs or selfies’ with the actor as he exited through the stage door.
