Fans of Tom Holland revealed their extraordinary efforts to catch a glimpse of the star last night.
Supporters from as far as France and Canada gathered outside the theatre, some traveling for hours just for a chance to see him briefly.
Many didn’t even have tickets for his opening night performance in Romeo and Juliet but were patiently waiting for a glimpse of the Spider-Man star.
Holland waved and thanked onlookers as he arrived at the Duke of York Theatre on Friday, accompanied by cheers and screams.
Marie, 18, and her friend Lila, 19, traveled nine hours from Paris and queued outside the theatre every day just hoping for a glimpse.
TC, a 26-year-old event planner, waited an hour to watch Holland enter the theatre and was excited to watch the performance from the third row.
In February, over 60,000 fans scrambled to buy tickets for Holland’s West End run, which sold out in two hours.
Tickets for Romeo and Juliet are now being resold for around £300 each. Serena, 23, and Yasmine, 22, from Toronto, queued up outside the theatre to try for last-minute tickets.
Grace, 21, who managed to get tickets, expressed her excitement, saying she was only attending for Tom Holland.
After weeks of preview performances, Romeo and Juliet officially opened on May 23, with Holland pictured walking hand in hand with Zendaya to greet fans.
However, the excitement has waned for some staff working at surrounding establishments, who find the constant crowds disruptive.
Romeo and Juliet will run at the Duke of York’s Theatre until August 3 before reportedly transferring to Broadway later this year.
