Tom Holland arrived at the Duke Of York’s Theatre with a cheerful demeanor before his latest performance in Romeo and Juliet on Saturday.
The 27-year-old former Marvel actor greeted the large crowd with a smile and waves as he walked from his car to the entrance. He was dressed in an all-black ensemble, including a buttoned jacket and white trainers, and carried a crossbody bag.
On Friday, fans of the Spiderman star shared the extreme measures they took to catch a glimpse of him. Supporters from various places, including France and Canada, gathered outside the theatre, some traveling long distances without tickets just to see him briefly.
Tom expressed his gratitude to the onlookers as he exited his car at the Duke of York Theatre on Friday, accompanied by cheers and screams. Among the crowd were Marie, 18, and her friend Lila, 19, who traveled nine hours from Paris and queued outside the theatre every day in hopes of seeing him.
TC, a 26-year-old event planner, who waited an hour to watch Holland enter the theatre, was excited to watch the performance from the third row. She described it as a dream come true, having bought her ticket for £95 during the presale.
In February, over 60,000 fans, including TC, rushed to buy tickets for Holland’s West End run, which sold out in two hours. Some compared the strеss of securing tickets to Taylor Swift’s Eras tour.
Tickets for Romeo and Juliet are now being resold for around £300 each. Serena, 23, and Yasmine, 22, from Toronto, were unable to secure tickets initially but hoped to get returned tickets by queuing outside the theatre.
Though they were disappointed when no spare tickets became available, they planned to try again the next day. Another fan expressed her willingness to pay up to £300 for a ticket, emphasizing her admiration for Holland.
