Serena Williams and her husband, Alexis Ohanian, spent a family day at Auckland Zoo on Sunday with their daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.
Oracene Price, Serena’s mother, joined them as they explored the zoo and enjoyed quality time together.
The family observed the 1,400 animals at the park, with smoke from Australia’s bushfires creating a haze that drifted across the Tasman Sea to New Zealand. Serena, 38, looked captivated by the zoo’s 135 different species as she walked alongside her husband and daughter.
Serena appeared to be teaching little Alexis about the animals they were seeing. The child was carried around the park by her father, Alexis, who co-founded the social news website Reddit.
Serena played tourist, snapping numerous pictures as they strolled through the park.
On Monday, Serena returned to the tennis court, teaming up with Caroline Wozniacki to win a first-round match at the ASB Classic in Auckland.
