Willow Smith was spotted dining at the popular Asian fusion restaurant Luna Lu by Sydney Harbour, cutting a low-key casual figure. The 22-year-old singer, daughter of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, opted for comfort in a black crop top and loose-fitting grey sweatpants. She completed her look with a matching long-sleeve button-up shirt, worn open to showcase her midriff.
Willow appeared relaxed and carefree as she dined alone, listening to music on her wireless headphones. She carried a distinctive tote bag featuring badges from the archives of the National Museum of African American Culture and History. The bag displayed powerful messages such as “Black Is Beautiful” and “Stop Lynching.”
At one point, Willow graciously stopped to pose for photos with fans who recognized her. She is in Australia to attend the GQ Men of the Year Awards on Wednesday night.
Willow’s outing comes on the heels of her brother Jaden Smith’s revelation about their family’s use of psychedelic drugs. Jaden, 24, shared at the Psychedelic Science conference in Denver that their mother Jada, 51, first introduced the family to psychedelics. “I think it was my mum, actually, that was really the first one to make that step for the family,” Jaden said. “It was just her for a really, really long time and then eventually it just trickled and evolved and everybody found it in their own ways.”
Although Jaden did not specify which psychedelics they used, he mentioned that these experiences have helped him form stronger relationships with his siblings in a profound way. “Siblings can argue so much and fight so much, and lord knows me and my siblings have done so much of that in the past,” he said. “But the level of love and empathy that I can feel for them inside of the (psychedelic) experiences and outside of the experiences has been something that’s profound and beautiful.”
Willow and Jaden also have a half-brother, Trey, 30, from Will Smith’s previous marriage to Sheree Zampino, 55.
