In a statement, Keys expressed her excitement about returning as host, stating that last year’s experience was incredibly powerful for her. She felt the love not only in the room but from around the world, confirming to her the healing and unifying power of music.

Nominees for the 62nd annual Grammy Awards will be unveiled on November 20, with the televised awards show scheduled for January 26.

While Ellen DeGeneres hosted the Grammys in 1996 and 1997 and Rosie O’Donnell took the reins in 1999 and 2000, Keys joins a select group of wоmеn who have led the prestigious event. This includes Whoopi Goldberg in 1992 and Queen Latifah in 2005.

Recording Academy President and CEO Deborah Dugan expressed excitement about Keys’ return, highlighting her enduring impact and creativity within the music community over the past two decades.

Keys is married to hip-hop artist-producer Swizz Beatz, and together they have two sons.
