He’s a Hollywood celebrity accustomed to filming fast-paced car chases rather than leisurely walks down cobblestone streets.
However, comedic actor Kevin Hart paid a visit to the Coronation Street set on Wednesday, where he explored the iconic location and met the cast of the popular soap opera.
The show shared pictures of the star’s visit on its Twitter page, announcing: “There’s a Hollywood film star paying a visit to the #Corrie cobbles today…”
Following an appearance on BBC Breakfast, the star of The Five-Year Engagement stopped by the soap’s set, mingling with various cast members including Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre), Beverley Callard (Liz McDonald), and Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price).
Kevin was photographed posing with Michelle at the studio, with Catherine on the cobblestone streets, and with Beverley inside the Rovers Return pub.
The soap disclosed that Catherine Tyldesley hurried outside from filming to greet the star, mentioning that the actress “dashed out from filming in her slippers.”
Kevin recently starred in the action comedy film Ride Along, portraying Ben Barber, a jittery school security guard. The movie follows his character as he joins his potential brother-in-law, a police officer, on patrol, leading to unеxpеcted developments involving a criminal named Omar.
Ride Along has been a box office success in the US, grossing $360 million (£220 million) in the 11 weeks following its release.
Kevin is also slated to appear alongside Will Ferrell in the comedy Get Hard, scheduled for release in March 2015. The film follows an innocent man (Ferrell) who seeks guidance for prison life from his car washer (Hart) after being convicted of a crime.
