ļ»æThe third Bill & Ted movie, “Bill & Ted Face The Music,” is currently in production, with a release date set for August 2020.
On Tuesday, Keanu Reeves, 54, and Alex Winter, 53, were spotted together on set in New Orleans, Louisiana, marking the first time they were seen filming the sequel since their last appearance in the 1991 movie. The two actors, reprising their roles as Ted and Bill, seemed in high spirits, just like old times.
Keanu was dressed in a grey suit jacket and matching trousers, with a salmon-colored button-up shirt underneath. He completed his outfit with grey-blue Converse sneakers, standing tall beside his co-star. Alex, on the other hand, opted for a more laid-back look with a baggy T-shirt under a flannel shirt. The 5’7″ actor had scruffy curls and also wore sneakers.
Onlookers reported that a scene involved Bill and Ted driving off in a car while being pursued by two other characters. Later that day, the actors filmed another scene inside a phone booth located in the middle of a park. Keanu and Alex were both seen inside the modern rectangular booth before running out across the field.
The cast for the new movie includes Kid Cudi, who is set to play a significant role, along with returning actors Amy Stoch as Missy, Bill’s stepmother, and Hal Landon Jr. as Jonathan, Ted’s father. Additionally, Australian actress Samara Weaving has been cast as Thea Preston.
“Bill & Ted Face The Music” explores the story of Bill and Ted, now middle-aged, as they are warned by a future visitor that they must create a song to save their lives and the universe. The movie follows the pair as they team up with their families, old friends, and famous musicians (likely where Kid Cudi comes in) to accomplish their mission.
The film is scheduled for release on August 21, 2020.
