Tom Holland has spent years playing Spider-Man, the friendly neighborhood superhero, and now rumors suggest he might be the next James Bond. However, the Marvel star set aside all work-related thoughts on Saturday as he enjoyed a fun scooter ride with his girlfriend Zendaya during a trip to Budapest.
The 26-year-old actor took some time to relax and unwind, riding a blue and black scooter while following Zendaya, 25, who led the way on her scooter. Tom kept his look casual for the outing in the Hungarian capital, wearing a black and white striped shirt, black shorts, and trainers.
Zendaya opted for a simple white vest top, gray shorts, and black loafers with white socks. She tied her brown hair into a ponytail and had a tan jacket draped across her lap. The couple, who publicly announced their relationship last summer, seemed carefree as they enjoyed the sights of the European city.
Earlier in the week, Tom was spotted solo in New York, keeping his look laid-back with a white T-shirt, striped blue jeans, and Nike trainers.
The outing came shortly after Tom announced his break from social media, saying it’s “detrimentɑl” to his mentɑl health because he “spirals” when he reads online comments about himself. He shared a video on Instagram explaining that he found Instagram and Twitter to be overstimulating and overwhelming, leading him to delete the Twitter app from his phone.
In the video, Tom mentioned, “Hi guys. I’ve been trying to make this video for about an hour now, and for someone who has been acting for 13, 14 years, I can’t seem to sɑy what I need to sɑy without ‘um-ing’ and ‘ah-ing’ every five minutes, so I’ll try again. I took a break from social media for my mеntal health because I find it overstimulating and overwhelming, leading me to spiral when I read things about me online.”
He also encouraged his fans to donate to the charity Stem4, which supports positive mеntal health for teenagers. Alongside the video, Tom wrote a post urging fans to support the charity through The Brothers Trust, where people could buy T-shirts to support various charities. He also urged fans to share the video and keep the conversation about mеntal health going.
Tom’s announcement received a wave of support, including messages from Justin Bieber, who commented, “Love you, man.” Another user called Tom the “best person ever,” while someone else wrote, “Good man.”
Tom has a significant following on social media, with over 67 million followers on Instagram alone. Despite his popularity, he’s taking the necessary steps to maintain his mеntal health, setting a positive example for his fans.
