Kevin Hart is known for his relentless work ethic, and Wednesday was no exception as the 39-year-old Һit the busy streets of New York City to promote his latest film, The Upside, co-starring Bryan Cranston.
He shared his enthusiasm on social media, writing, “Still out and about getting the word out about my movie ‘The Upside’… Work hard & play harder. Make sure y’all get to the theaters this Friday and check out the movie.”
Hart attended a special screening of The Upside, hosted by The Moms, a multimedia company co-founded by Denise Albert and Melissa Gerstein. Given the New York City chill, he dressed fashionably in green and black flannel pants, a light green button-down shirt, and a light brown overcoat with furry lapels.
After the screening, The Moms tweeted, “The best movies make you laugh and cry! Featuring a star-studded cast with @KevinHart4real, @BryanCranston, and #NicoleKidman, @TheUpsideFilm will have you in stitches and reaching for tissues.”
Earlier that day, Hart appeared on Good Morning America to discuss The Upside. He was dressed in a sharp suit, and during his interview, he was asked about hosting the Academy Awards. Despite his earlier apology to the LGBTQ+ community on his Sirius XM show, Straight from the Hart, he confirmed he would not be hosting the Oscars, citing the lack of time to prepare. However, he noted that it’s “hard to predict what can happen” and clarified that there’s no bad blооd between him and the Academy.
Hart was initially announced as the host for the upcoming Oscars, but he stepped down after homophobic tweets from over a decade ago resurfaced.
In addition to the GMA appearance, Hart also attended a photocall with Cranston and the film’s director, Neil Burger, at the Four Seasons in Beverly Hills.
The Upside is a comedy-drаmа about a paralyzed billionaire (Cranston) who forms an unlikely friendship with his caregiver, a recently paroled convict (Hart). The film also stars Nicole Kidman, Julianna Margulies, and Aja Naomi King.
