Keanu Reeves’ substantial earnings across all four John Wick films have been disclosed, coinciding with heightened anticipation among fans for updates on the fifth installment in the franchise.
The Canadian actor, 59, experienced a gradual increase in his remuneration as the action film series gained popularity. Notably, Keanu’s compensation skyrocketed to an impressive $15 million (£12 million) for the fourth film, reflecting a considerable budget escalation.
The initial John Wick film, released in 2014, secured the star a base salary ranging from $1 million to $2 million (£787,000 to £1.6 million). Subsequent sequels, such as John Wick Chapter 2 in 2017, witnessed a moderate pay increase, falling between $2 million and $2.5 million (£1.6 million and £1.9 million).
The third film, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019), swiftly became the franchise’s highest-grossing film within ten days of release. While Keanu’s exact earnings for Chapter 3 remain undisclosed, the series’ growing budget suggests a proportional increase in his salary.
