Jason Stanly, 52, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is most known for his work as Jason Statham’s actor.

I receive the majority of photo requests during this time, and some people do enquire as to whether I am indeed the action star. I’m always willing to make sure they leave smiling and with a neat picture.

“I usually advise people who request a photo to send it to the biggest Statham fan they know for amusement purposes, just to see how long they can fool them or temporarily make them jealous.”

Before deciding to pursue his dream of becoming an actor, Jason spent 27 years working as an insurance broker and financial counselor.

“I was fortunate that it was fairly easy to get involved,” he remarked, referring to the abundance of film productions going on around his birthplace. I made contact with the casting agencies in the area and began working as an extra in the background.

“I quickly learned about the film business and made some really great friends in the process,” the author said about the beginning of 2011.

He did, however, acknowledge that other actors and production staff would always inquire as to whether he was Jason Statham’s stand-in whenever he entered a movie set.

“On one set in particular, a few crew members were convinced that I was definitely there as Statham’s photo double and that he must be making a surprise cameo,” he clarified.

“When I went to the set to shake hands with Sean Connery’s son, Jason Connery, he looked at me, glanced down at the call sheet, and then shook my hand with a big smile, so I knew I must have fooled him pretty good.”

Nonetheless, Jason acknowledged that his mother was the first to recognize his likeness to the actor from The Expendables.

He stated: “She called it right away while we were watching The Transporter on DVD on the big screen at her house.” Obviously, I didn’t decide to follow my mother’s advice and take things further until years later.

According to Jason, he didn’t ‘necessarily want to ride the coattails of a celebrity’ when he first started in the business since he wаnted to showcase his own variety and abilities as a dynamic actor.

He acknowledged, nevertheless, that he was unable to pass up the enjoyable chances that came up.

The former financial advisor admitted that the best part of the job is helping huge Statham fans get 'the next best thing'

The ex-financial advisor said that assisting ardent Statham supporters in obtaining “the next best thing” is the highlight of the work.

“The doors that have opened for me on all levels of entertainment have been amazing,” Jason said, “and I continue to embrace the opportunities shamelessly.”

“When well-known actors that I’ve met get a kιck out of seeing a southern boy from the US turn on a gravely Cockney accent with attitude, it validates my impersonation skills even more,” the actor said.

The impersonator, who has acted in movies portraying Statham’s character, including a Hunger Games parody called The Starving Games, takes on jobs of any size.

However, since he was previously hired to be the best man at a wedding, there have also been some odd employment requests.

“I have to sаy that booking a gig through GigSalad—a fantastic service—was the strangest job I have ever done as an impersonator,” he remarked.

I was invited, along with my friend who impersonates Stallone, to be a key component of the wedding and reception by a kind woman and her husband.
