As many scenes required multiple takes, some stuntmen had to portray risky sequences and ‘Ōie’ up to 20 times. Reeves, acknowledging their efforts, ensured they had a memento to remember the unique experience.
In addition to the personalized T-shirts, Keanu Reeves went above and beyond by gifting each stuntman a Rolex watch, estimated to be worth around $10,000. Recognized as one of Hollywood’s ‘nicest guys,’ Reeves is known for his acts of kindness.
Following the success of “The Matrix” in 1999, where he reportedly earned $75 million in profits, he distributed $1 to each member of the production crew. Reeves is also involved in philanthropy, running a private foundation for the past five or six years, contributing to children’s hospitals and cašcer research.
