Keanu Reeves and Seth Rogen were photographed collaborating on the set of the upcoming comedy film, Good Fortune, in Los Angeles on a Friday afternoon.
The 59-year-old actor and his 41-year-old co-star seemed to be in good spirits as they enjoyed a box of fried food before engaging in discussions with the film’s director, Aziz Ansari.
Keanu Reeves, known for his role in the John Wick franchise, wore a white graphic-printed t-shirt and khaki slacks during his time on set. Seth Rogen opted for a casual look, donning a red crewneck sweater and beige pants while filming his scenes.
Development on Good Fortune was unveiled in April of the previous year when Aziz Ansari joined the project. The 40-year-old actor not only wrote the film’s script but also serves as a producer and stars in the feature. Both Reeves and Rogen were announced as part of the cast at the same time.
Specific details about the film’s storyline remain undisclosed, and the Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group chair, Joe Drake, expressed enthusiasm for the project, praising Aziz Ansari’s talents as both a performer and director. Drake also highlighted the acting prowess of Reeves and Rogen, expressing confidence that the film has the potential to be special.
Filming was initially scheduled to begin in May but faced delays due to the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike. Good Fortune marks Ansari’s second attempt at directing a film, following the indefinite suspension of his first intended directorial debut, Being Mortal, in 2022.
Being Mortal, a planned comedy-drama based on Atul Gawande’s book, was set to star Bill Murray and Keke Palmer. However, production was halted in April 2022 due to complaints of Murray’s inappropriate behavior reported by various cast members.
As of now, the release date for Good Fortuđťš—e has not beeđťš— disclosed to the public.
