Tom Holland and Zendaya’s romantic journey began after meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming. Despite initially cultivating a strong friendship, their relationship became public in the summer of 2021 when candid photos of them sharing a kiss surfaced online. Tom later addressed the incident in a November 2021 GQ interview, expressing frustration about feeling “robbed of our privacy”.

Despite the challenges, Tom publicly displayed his affection for Zendaya on social media, including a sweet birthday tribute in September. Zendaya reciprocated in December 2021 by referring to Tom as “My Spider-Man” on her Instagram. The public exchange continued, with Zendaya commenting on Tom’s posts, including heart-eye emojis on a January 2022 Instagram post featuring his Prada campaign.
