In the interview with the magazine, Holland recounts the moment he discovered he had secured the role of Spider-Man. Recalling the excitement, the 20-year-old actor shares, “I was lounging in bed, casually scrolling through Instagram. It had been about a month since my audition. Marvel had just posted a photo instructing everyone to visit their website to unveil the new Spider-Man. I eagerly went to the Marvel website on my computer, and there it was: Tom Holland announced as the new Spider-Man. I went wild, completely losing it.”
