Beyoncé kicked off the 2022 Oscars with a pre-recorded version of King Richard’s “Be Alive” from the tennis courts in Compton. While her performance was live-streamed from Serena and Venus Williams’ birthplace, the megastar was also in attendance at the Academy Awards ceremony, turning heads in a breathtaking Valentino haute couture gown.
The singer, whose song “Be Alive” was nominated in the Best Original Song category, wore a strapless gown in sunshine yellow, featuring a floor-length cape.
The Valentino gown was Beyoncé’s second bright yellow look of the night, with the star wearing a custom feathered David Koma dress for her Oscars performance, teamed with matching gloves, statement earrings, and a diamond-encrusted garter.
While Beyoncé may have eventually lost out to Billie Eilish in the Best Original Song category, she ensured she delivered not one but two major Oscar-worthy fashion moments.
