Billie Eilish, much like several other attendees, embraced an all-black ensemble on the Met Gala red carpet, donning a custom Simone Rocha sheer dress complemented by an Agent Provocateur corset.
However, for the subsequent after parties, she opted for a vibrant New York Knicks-themed attire, a fitting choice for the hometown team.
The singer was captured flashing a peace sign en route to the Standard Hotel’s after-party and later within the event in her new outfit.
Her after-party look featured a LỰU ĐẠN jacket paired with a New York Knicks hat, a 2001-02 New York Knicks Houston #20 champion jersey (with the year being significant as Eilish was born in December 2001), North Face pants, and Air Jordan sneakers.
Speaking with Emma Chamberlain on Vogue’s red carpet livestream, Eilish shared insights into the inspiration behind her viral black Met Gala dress. Designed by Simone Rocha, the singer expressed a desire for layers, various textures, and a deliberately disheveled appearance.
Reflecting on the Met Gala experience and pre-red carpet nerves, Eilish revealed, “I’ve been pretty chill all day.”
Surprisingly, it’s the process of navιgating the arrivals line that induces the most anxiety, as she mentioned, “Like this line [to get here] is kind of freaking me out. The line is longer than the event, 100 percent.”
Despite attending two prior Met Galas and co-chairing her first, Eilish confessed she’s not an expert on the event, stating, “I look forward to seeing friends [inside].
I really don’t know how to do this.”
