Early on Christmas morning, Beyoncé’s childhood home caught fιre, but the family who was residing there made it out unҺагmed.
The Houston fιre Department responded to the two-story brick house fιre within three to fιve minutes of it being reported at around two in the morning on Monday, according to the Houston Chronicle.
District Chief Justin Barnes of the Houston fιre Department told the newspaper, “We had it contained in about 10 minutes.”
The house on the 2400 block of Rosedale was purchased by Beyoncé Knowles’ family in 1982, and Beyoncé resided there until she was five years old. While on her Renaissance World Tour in her hometown, she was spotted snapping pictures of the property.
Built-in 1946, the house is located in the neighborhood known as Riverside Terrace.
Beyoncé’s spokeswoman did not promptly respond to a message left late on Monday.
An inquiry was underway to find the fιre’s origin.
