In fact, in an interview published Nov. 29, the actress reflected on her approach to parenting and former Brian Austin Green’s boys Noah, 11, Bodhi, 9, and Journey, 7, telling WWD that she’s committed to educating them to love in a “really healthy way.”

“It’s very important to me to raise boys who are not like these men that I’ve been with”, she stated. “It’s very important for me to raise boys who can have a very deep emotional intimacy with their partner”. It’s critical to me that they are not liars, that they can be fully transparent, honest, polite, and experienced at some point in their lives”.

Megan, on the other hand, does not expect her children to be romance prodigies. “I don’t expect them when they’re 16 to have a sacred love”, she said, “but I do expect them at some point to get to that place”.

How does the Transformers star intend to inculcate these values on her sons? “I am their first introduction into women”, she went on to say, “and the way that I love them is going to influence the way they are allowed to love others when they go out into a relationship.”

“I hope that just through my transparency in the way that I engage with them, in the way that I am demonstrative and affectionate with them”, the 37-year-old went on to say, “that allows them to love in a really healthy way.”
