Beyoncé pays for late trains to carry fans home

Beyoncé spent $100,000 to prolong tube operating hours, allowing fans to return home after the ‘Renaissance’ show.

According to the DailyMail, because of severe weather on August 6, Renaissance Beyoncé’s concert at FedExField Stadium had to be postponed for about two hours.

Because of the late start, Beyoncé’s team worked with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) to extend service duration by an hour, allowing fans to return home after the event.

As a result, following the event, WMATA opened an entrance at the Morgan Avenue station, which is closest to the show venue, as well as the exits of 98 other stations. Renaissance World Tour is the American singer’s ninth tour in support of her seventh studio album Renaissance (2022). The music show began in May in Stockholm (Sweden) and is scheduled to conclude in October in Kansas City (Missouri, USA). The Formation World Tour (2016) was Beyoncé’s last solo tour.
