Exclusive: Take a Peek Inside Jason Statham’s Tranquil Malibu Beach House, Where Nature and Luxury Harmonize

Here we take a look inside Jason Statham’s Malibu, California, beach house, which is both stylish and airy.

Statham recently spoke with archdigest.com about the stunning newly listed house, which he describes as “a really tired old surfing house” upon its 2009 purchаse.

According to the 52-year-old British actor, their priority from the start was to find a home that was in close proximity to nature, particularly the beach.

“We don’t go to the beach very often in the UK, and these houses are so close to the water and the outdoors,” he remarked. “After spending some time in Los Angeles, I finally decided this is where I want to call home.”

The distinctive slanted roof that shields the house from the sun is one of the original features that Statham preserved when he renovated the house after buying it. To make it seem like “at all times you’re connected with the sea,” he gave the outside black cedar shingles and made the nearly 4,000-square-foot interior feel more open.

According to the Fast & Furious star, who did not hire a designer, he also created the interiors.

Featuring a plethora of midcentury Danish furniture, he described his furnishings as “sort of old and lived-in and in a single palette” because he wаnted to avoid creating an overly precious or pretentious space.

For instance, he opted to use cut wood instead of trinkets and books to fill the fireplace shelves, where he, his fiancée Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and their 2-year-old son Jack Oscar enjoy spending winter days.

“I preferred not to purchаse an excessive number of books for the purpose of filling the shelves,” Statham stated. “I was thinking, ‘I’ll simply go get some wood.'” “It looked really good in the end, even though it was more of a filler than a design idea!”When Statham is choosing out his furniture, what else is important to him?
