Kim Kardashian made her Met Gala debut in 2013 while pregnant with her first child, North West, wearing a custom Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci gown made of floral printed jersey with grommet details that attached the sleeves, turtleneck, and perfectly matched gloves and shoes.

Kardashian and West paid homage to designer Charles James in 2014, channeling old Hollywood glamor. Kim wore a blue strapless Lanvin gown with a black belt and thigh-high slit, while Kanye wore a black tux with coattails.

In 2015, Kardashian wore a sheer crystal-embroidered Roberto Cavalli gown with feather details, claiming it was inspired by a major pop icon.

Kardashian and West made headlines in 2016 when they wore matching silver outfits inspired by the theme Manus x Machina. She opted for a custom Balmain ensemble, while her husband sported ripped jeans, a studded jacket, and colored contacts.

Kardashian wore an off-the-shoulder Vivienne Westwood Couture corset dress with few adornments to the 2017 Met Gala.

A long-sleeve turtleneck bodysuit was worn under an enormous T-shirt dress with a long pleated train in the custom combination. She finished off her costume with jersey boots, gloves, and a mask that covered her face and head.

The reality actress wore a legendary Marilyn Monroe outfit to the 2022 Met Gala with then-boyfriend Pete Davidson – the same garment the movie diva wore in 1962 when she wished President John F. Kennedy a happy birthday at Madison Square Garden.
