Taylor Swift has disclosed that her romantic journey with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce commenced long before she made appearances at NFL games.
Their rumored relationship was officially confirmed when Swift attended a Kansas City Chiefs game in September, and since then, she has been a regular attendee, forming a friendship with Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Chiefs teammate Patrick. However, the 33-year-old singer clarified that they had been dating for a considerable period before their public appearance at the NFL game.
Kelce, 34, initially attempted to capture Swift’s attention by crafting a friendship bracelet with his number. Despite unsuccessful attempts to meet her during her Eras tour, Kelce’s efforts were enough to catch Swift’s eye, leading to the commencement of their relationship.
“This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as Һell,” Swift shared with TIME magazine. “We started hаnging out right after that. So we actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other. By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple.”
“When you sаy a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” said the popstar.
“The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
Kelce, addressing the relationship, mentioned that he believes a member of Swift’s inner circle played a role in getting their romance started. According to him, there were people in Swift’s corner who knew about him, and someone played the role of a Cupid. Swift had informed him about what was happening and how he was fortunate enough to have her reach out.
